The story behind this picture was that Dad had previously taken me on fishing trips in that canoe and I always loved going even though I had fallen asleep in the car and in the boat.
On this particular day he tried to bolt out of the house before I woke up during my nap so he could go by himself. Well, I woke up early to see the canoe on top of the car and was told I couldn't go. I remember bawling so bad and cried myself back to sleep.
This picture was taken when I woke up and Dad got home. I'd forgotten about not being able to go by this time and was freakin' with excitement over the fish.
