FAMILY RECIPE
LEMON PIE
(Ruth Sanford)
>Mix together:
1/4 c. sugar
4 rounded Tbsp. flour
>Mix together:
1 3/4 c. water
Juice and grated rind of 2 lemons
>Gradually add dry ingredients to liquid in sauce pan; bring to boil and cook until thick, stirring constantly
>2 egg yolks, beaten (save whites for merengue); add small amount of pie filling to egg yolks and mix well, then add it all back into pie filling
>Cook slowly another 2 minutes, stirring
>Remove from heat and stir in 1 Tbsp. butter; cool; pour into cooled baked pie shell
>Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form, adding in 1/4 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar while whipping; add to top of pie
>Put in 400-425 oven a few minutes, until nicely browned

I wonder if they make those plastic diaper covers anymore...
Those were actually called "rubber pants" and had to be worn with the cloth diapers. Disposable diapers is one of the greatest inventions ever... you new Moms just don't know what you're missing! Ha!

Nasty. I think my stomach would go in the toilet, too, if I had to change cloth diapers.
Oh, now, you just haven't lived until you dunk a messy diaper up and down in the toilet, then squeeeeeze it out. A mother's love.
