BLOG Instructions (just to get you started)
1. To add a message or photo/video to this blog, click on "New Post" at the top of the page.
2. Type in a Title for the post - the Title will be added to the Blog Archive column when you finish the post.
3. To add pictures or videos to your post: click on bluish icons, select a layout, and browse for pictures or videos on your PC. Click "upload image."
4. Type in the message that will be posted on the main blog page.
5. When finished with your message and uploads, click the orange "Publish Post" button.
6. Click on "View Blog"
To comment on a post, or see what others have written, click "comments" following the post.
When making a comment, please sign your name to it so we'll know who the comment is from... otherwise, it just says "Our Family"
To return to the main page at any time, click on "Our Family News" at the top of the page.

FAMILY RECIPE
LEMON PIE
(Ruth Sanford)
>Mix together:
1/4 c. sugar
4 rounded Tbsp. flour
>Mix together:
1 3/4 c. water
Juice and grated rind of 2 lemons
>Gradually add dry ingredients to liquid in sauce pan; bring to boil and cook until thick, stirring constantly
>2 egg yolks, beaten (save whites for merengue); add small amount of pie filling to egg yolks and mix well, then add it all back into pie filling
>Cook slowly another 2 minutes, stirring
>Remove from heat and stir in 1 Tbsp. butter; cool; pour into cooled baked pie shell
>Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form, adding in 1/4 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar while whipping; add to top of pie
>Put in 400-425 oven a few minutes, until nicely browned
