Float trip Memorial Day weekend

Went floating Sunday. Totally perfect day for it. Here are a couple of pics. I thought the turtles were so cute, especially the baby. :) Kim

Hey Kim - looks like fun. Cute turtles, I agree. Where was it?

It was the Piney River at Fort Leonard Wood in MO.

Nice pictures, Kim. Looks like a great way to spend a holiday! Who's in the background rowing the boat in the first picture?

Sarah-
That's Alberto in the picture. It WAS a fun time. I love canoeing. Kim

I'm sure I should know who Alberto is, but I'm out of the loop on this one. He was at your dad's birthday, too, right? Is he your boyfriend or just a friend? What's the scoop? :)

Yes, Alberto's my boyfriend, and yes, he was at Dad's party. He's super nice. Have been dating a couple of months. We met online. He's in the army at Ft. Leonard Wood, an hour and a half from me. Kim

It sounds like you're happy and having fun, and that is really great! Do you have a picture of you two that we can see what he looks like? What is his last name? What does he do in the Army? Where is he from originally? (Now you know what it's like to have a big sister -- we want to know everything! :-)

Kim--looks like fun time!! Tell me you were wearing sunscreen!! Fair skin and the sun. . .

Our Family said...

Yes, Bonnie, I wore sunscreen. :) But I didn't put it on until 15-20 minutes in. I did burn on my back where I couldn't reach. :(

Sunscreen on the back? Isn't that Alberto's job? Ha. Being in the Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, I hope Uncle Bill has checked this guy out and given his stamp of approval! :~)

Poor Alberto. You can't even be associated with our family without being given the third degree. Feel the love... - Laura
