The Ybarra Twins Turn 5!
It's hard to believe, but Kristin and Rachel are now 5 years old! We had a big Luau party for them with all their friends. The girls looked beautiful and had a wonderful time. We had lunch, then birthday cake, then opened presents. Then the kids went outside for fun in the pool and bounce house! It was a great day!

Medical update Larry Morris
The surgical procedure took place on 6-26 in the morning. During the lapiscopic portion of the scheduled surgery they found that the cancer had spread to other organs from biopsies taken during the lapiscopic stages of the surgery. As a result the removal of the stomach was not performed and I went home in the afternoon. I have a follow-up with my oncologist this coming Tuesday.
More updates to follow as life unfolds.
God is good all the time!!

Monsoons are here!!
As I was trying to fix the irrigation tonight before it got dark, I looked off to the southeast and saw a thunderhead that lit up from time to time. Even though it is officially monsoon season here in Phoenix, they weren't calling for storms tonight.
So anyway, Liz and I wrapped up what we were doing and headed to a park to watch. The storms didn't move in like I'd hoped, but still these turned out good enough to show everyone.

Larry Morris here at last
The above picture is of Kyle Lassanske Sandy's oldest son and his son Elias Luka. Just checking in and updating everyone on my branch of the Morris family. Sandy my oldest is in the Seattle Washington area in spanaway. Her two oldest are married and she has one grandchild. Glenn is living in Denver, North Carolina with Barb his wife.
I was diagnosed with Gastric cancer in August of 2007 following a surgery to obtain a biopsy of the stomach lining. that was followed by 5 rounds of chemo therapy which were interrupted by 30 days of radiation treatment in November and December ending up on January 3rd. Tomorrow June 26 I'm undergoing surgery to remove the remaining cancer from my stomach. will update you following surgery.

Emily's Travels This Year
Some photos from our little road trip
Since it was going to be 115 degrees here in Phoenix, Liz and I decided to drive 2 hours north to the Flagstaff area and hang out where it's about 30 degrees cooler.
We ended up driving to the Lava Tube cave and hiking about 3/4 mile under ground. The tube was all created by lava. Very cold under ground. Temps ranged from just below freezing to 40 degrees. You could see your breath. The tunnel pretty much went down underground, then went level for most of the 3/4 of a mile. It was pretty cool.
A drive around the San Francisco Peaks after our hike
Hikers coming down the entrance to the cave

At the cave entrance
Old volcano?
We saw a lot of deer on the drive around the mountains

Hi from Pat
Hi everybody-
What a great picture of the summer I spent with Aunt Betty and Uncle Bob and cousins! It is one of my fondest memories. Thanks for putting it on.
I sent the blog information on to my brother, Ralph so you'll probably be getting a message from him, too.
I'm sorry to admit that I see a lot of names here that I don't recognize. I have a lot of catching up to do. So, please tell me how all these people are related.
My name is Pat Anderson (formerly Lewis) eldest daughter of Walt and Wilma (Morris) Lewis and granddaughter of Glenn and Vida Morris. I have been married to Wesley (Wes) Anderson for almost 27 years. Last November we moved to 1406 Hammersmith Dr., Winterville, NC 28590-7092 phone 252-364-1190.
We don't have any kids, but do have 3 dogs - Riley, Benji (inherited from Mom), and Maya.
Wes is an engineer and is the Director of Public Works for Greenville. I am a retired RN (unless something really interesting comes along). We are both retired from the military and have moved a lot of places, which is part of the reason I've lost track of too much of my family. I am eager to get reacquainted with all of you.

At the risk of sounding really out of it, I have to admit that this is the first blog I've ever been on. I'll have more to say after I read what others have been saying.
Nancy, thanks for letting me know about this blog. It's great to be connected again.

Welcome, Cousin Pat!
Patsy (Lewis) Anderson is making every effort to join the Family Blog! We hope the sign-in will work correctly and let her in. Pat is one of Wilma's daughters. Here is an archive photo from one of Grandpa Morris' slides taken at the Derber's house in Beloit WI, left to right:
Nancy, Sarah Derber, Patsy, Barbara (Wilma's daughter), Margie (Ralph's daughter), and little Jan in the front (also Ralph's daughter).
Hope I got it right! ~Nancy~

Our house to date - before and after
So here you go Laura and Sarah...the house the day I bought it and how it looks now. The outside is still a work in progress, but so much better than the way it looked when I bought it.
Before pictures...
After pictures...
All the rock that was in the yard is gone and is now dirt. I need to finish grading the yard and prepare for some new rock. We are getting smaller rock instead of the larger rock that made it so hard to maintain before. The pictures really don't show you the huge difference there is.
We haven't really done anything to the inside yet, but are going to be starting on the master bath real soon. The three bedrooms shouldn't take much at all to do, then we are going to redo the kitchen. Before and after shown below...
