BLOG Instructions (just to get you started)

FAMILY RECIPE
LEMON PIE
(Ruth Sanford)
>Mix together:
1/4 c. sugar
4 rounded Tbsp. flour
>Mix together:
1 3/4 c. water
Juice and grated rind of 2 lemons
>Gradually add dry ingredients to liquid in sauce pan; bring to boil and cook until thick, stirring constantly
>2 egg yolks, beaten (save whites for merengue); add small amount of pie filling to egg yolks and mix well, then add it all back into pie filling
>Cook slowly another 2 minutes, stirring
>Remove from heat and stir in 1 Tbsp. butter; cool; pour into cooled baked pie shell
>Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form, adding in 1/4 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar while whipping; add to top of pie
>Put in 400-425 oven a few minutes, until nicely browned

Hi Nicole,
Beatiful home...where is it? And Hi Brent...you have not met me yet, but I held your wife when she was a wee little infant...I think I was 14 and getting ready to go to a high schoool dance. I held her in my "fancy" dress and was afraid Nicole would spit up on me! Congrats you two on your marriage and new home! You both have so much more to look forward to in life!
