BLOG Instructions (just to get you started)

FAMILY RECIPE
LEMON PIE
(Ruth Sanford)
>Mix together:
1/4 c. sugar
4 rounded Tbsp. flour
>Mix together:
1 3/4 c. water
Juice and grated rind of 2 lemons
>Gradually add dry ingredients to liquid in sauce pan; bring to boil and cook until thick, stirring constantly
>2 egg yolks, beaten (save whites for merengue); add small amount of pie filling to egg yolks and mix well, then add it all back into pie filling
>Cook slowly another 2 minutes, stirring
>Remove from heat and stir in 1 Tbsp. butter; cool; pour into cooled baked pie shell
>Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form, adding in 1/4 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar while whipping; add to top of pie
>Put in 400-425 oven a few minutes, until nicely browned

Yes, he was 36 (turning 37 in Sept.) and G'ma had just turned 36.~N~
That's a good question about Billy's attire. I'm not sure except that I think it was an age thing... he wasn't quite "old enough" to own a suit. And I'm not sure why Jim didn't have a flower in his lapel. :) ~N~
I guess G'pa had hair loss at an early age 'cause he looks in his forties to me. ~Kim
Receding hair line with a buzz cut, I guess is why. ~Kim
