As I was trying to fix the irrigation tonight before it got dark, I looked off to the southeast and saw a thunderhead that lit up from time to time. Even though it is officially monsoon season here in Phoenix, they weren't calling for storms tonight.
So anyway, Liz and I wrapped up what we were doing and headed to a park to watch. The storms didn't move in like I'd hoped, but still these turned out good enough to show everyone.

What a great vantage point you have there looking down on all the lights with mountain and sky. I think I would camp out there and take millions of photos. Pretty good to capture lightning... good job. ~Nancy~
More beautiful pictures. The first one is my favorite. Speaking of monsoons--heard this morning another levee just broke near St. Louis in Winfield,MO. We are supposed to keep getting rain all weekend! Will it ever end?
Bonnie
Bonnie - are you guys in any flooding danger in Valley Park? That's just awful. Wish we had some of the rain here in TX.
~Nancy~
