Some photos from our little road trip

Since it was going to be 115 degrees here in Phoenix, Liz and I decided to drive 2 hours north to the Flagstaff area and hang out where it's about 30 degrees cooler.

We ended up driving to the Lava Tube cave and hiking about 3/4 mile under ground. The tube was all created by lava. Very cold under ground. Temps ranged from just below freezing to 40 degrees. You could see your breath. The tunnel pretty much went down underground, then went level for most of the 3/4 of a mile. It was pretty cool.

Old volcano?

We saw a lot of deer on the drive around the mountains

As always, awesome, unique pics, Clint. My favorite is the first one. It's so cool to be in a cave. It can be spacious and claustrophobic at the same time. Looks like a fun daytrip. - Laura

I can't believe she's still talking to you after that comment you made about her already looking pregnant!! Only kidding--Liz you always look great in your pictures!! Sounds like you had a fun day. Pictures are awesome.

Beautiful pictures! It's so nice that you can take a little drive and get out of the horrible heat. I wish we had a 48 degree cave close by. I'd probably move into it for the summer!
