I begin chemo again on the 7/21 with a different dosage regiment. Under the new treatment program I will be infused with a smaller dose than previous infusions three times in three week and have the forth week off. (day-1, day-8, day-15) restart on day 28. This low dose should improve quality of life experienced during and following treatments.
The oncologists report on the observation by the surgeon gave us a better understanding on what he saw. The stomach, spline, intestines are enclosed in an abdominal sack. He observed cancer at various location on the inside of that abdominal sack wall. The cancer has not spread to other organs yet. The low dose chemo program is designed to check the spread and lessen the physical reaction to the treatment. The portable pump has been eliminated which improves life style during the treatment. The big question; why this spread was not found during the cat scan and pet scans remains unanswered.
